The Turin Giants Bring In Previous Italian National Team Boss the Experienced Gaffer

The Serie A powerhouse have chosen previous Azzurri boss Luciano Spalletti to lead the team until the end of the season.

The 66-year-old takes over from Igor Tudor, who was sacked post the Lazio setback on Sunday.

Tudor arrived at the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint following a string of eight matches without a victory.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

Yet, the Italian FA let Spalletti go in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday moving them to seventh position in the league - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
