The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the party enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which characters will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
