I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
